Meet the Team

Sarah Simms

Sarah set up Village Groomers in June 2001, after leaving her finance job in the City.

She began by grooming family and friends dogs from her garage but the business quickly grew.

Within a couple of years of trading Sarah identified a gap in the market for people needing care for their dogs during the day.

She established the first daycare facility in the Home Counties for clients on a small basis & over the years it has grown and grown to become the leading provider of doggy daycare in Harpenden and surrounding areas.

Sarah’s passion for dogs and ensuring they receive the very best of service remains her priority, as she continually looks for new ways to improve the service her and her team offer.

Tyler Clark

As General Manager Tyler has his work cut out. He is responsible for the day to day operations of Village Groomers. He ensures your dogs are collected on time, receive the right service and come home happy!

He manages absolutely everything to do with numbers and paperwork, as well as the team rotas.

Best of all he has the patience of a saint and all the dogs love him.

Vikki Jones

Vikki joined the Village Groomer team in March 2018 & we are delighted with what she has bought to the business.

Her bubbly personality & fabulous creativity ensures her grooming is current and enables her to build excellent rapports with both the clients & their dogs.

She has won British Grooming champion and is able to produce Breed specific cuts, as well as practical pet cuts, for easy management.

Her work speaks for itself and she is a great asset to Village Groomers.

Mitchell Webb

Mitch joined the team in October 2016. He is our quietest member of staff with the biggest sense of humour! His quiet persona is a hit with all the dogs as he gently guides new visitors through their first day and reassures nervous dogs in a lovely manner.

Mitch takes on many roles within the team, namely exercising the dogs as well as playing agility games. He also supports the grooming side of the business where he has become a maestro at bathing & massaging the dogs.

We couldn’t function without Mitch, he is an absolute integral part of our team.

Peter Maloney

Peter has been the driver for Village Groomers for 6 years and we literally couldn’t function without him.

He is loved by all the customers but more importantly the dogs are obsessed with him!

He is the smartest team member and clearly wears his uniform with pride.

He is punctual at all times and has NEVER called in sick during the 6 years he has worked with us.
